Emerson: Lost with Losses – Milan

The importance of accurate and reliable field instrumentation to the production accounting and data reconciliation systems should not be underestimated.  The role of field instrument accuracy and its’ impact on data quality KPI’s will be examined in this presentation. This will be followed by a discussion of the primary measurement devices that are commonly used in mass balance calculations and associated sources of error and uncertainty. The advantages and disadvantages of various flow measurement technologies in the context of improving mass and energy balances will also be discussed.

Tunahan is the Business Development Manager responsible for Refining and Blending & Transfer Solutions in Europe at Emerson Automation Solutions. He has a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters Degree in Control & Automation, both from the Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul. Tunahan started his carrier as a Project Engineer at Turkish Pipeline Corporation before he joined Emerson in 2010. He worked as Service Engineer, Sales Engineer at Flow Measurement Group at Emerson, before most recently being appointed the Key Account Leader for TUPRAS Refineries, Star Refinery and Botas Pipeline Corporation.
